Terms & Conditions

Our terms and conditions page contains key information about the items that you are about to purchase so please read through them carefully.

when you purchase online or offline from PukkaMate.co.uk you are entering into and agreeing to the following contractual agreement, better known as our 'Terms & Conditions.'

Order Cancellation:

Customers have the right to cancel their order after placing it. Customers must email us to cancel an order and a full refund will be actioned within 28 days (this only applies to the order if it has not been shipped).

All funds will be refunded to card/payment method use at time of purchase. If the order has been booked with a courier before we receive notification of cancellation, the customer will be charged the relative postage costs, free shipping options will incur a £9.99 charge.

Returns Policy:

For all returns you will first need to contact us. For UK customers, please see our contact page.

You have 14 days to cancel your order under our 14 day return period, which starts on the day you received the item. All items must be returned unused and in the original packaging which they were in when received by you. Please ensure all security seals and tags are still intact. If good(s) have been used or damaged then we are unable to accept any return.

You will need to provide the following details with your consignment:

1. Full Name

2. Order number (you’ll find this on your order confirmation e-mail),

3. State the reason for return.

Any item you have accepted is your responsibility to arrange postage back to us until it reaches our warehouse. Please therefore ensure that you send your item back to us using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. As soon as the item is back with us and has undergone routine checks, we will be able to take your case further and either exchange, repair or refund your item as agreed. Please note, it can take up to 28 days for a return to be processed once we have received your consignment.

All sales are final if they are not within any of these terms stated. Refunds given only if item is found faulty (reported back on the day of arrival/signed. It is your responsibility to check this on arrival) or we cannot fix/replace your item.

Faulty Items

If you have an item that you think is faulty then please use our reset guide which can be found here to reset your board. If the problem is not resolved by resetting then please refer to the section below.

•If a customer has had their swegway for 30 days or less, and their board has no cosmetic damage, they will be exempt from the £50.00 assessment fee;

•If the customer has had their hoverboard for 30 days or less, and their item is in pristine condition, they will be entitled to a free repair of any components needing repair;

•Photos of the item must be seen by us in order for us to assess the cosmetic appearance of the item, prior to any engagement by us;

•If a customer has had their hoverboard for 30 days or less and their item develops a fault, and their board has cosmetic damage, the customer will need to pay the £50.00 assessment fee so that our technicians can undertake a full inspection of the board in order to diagnose the fault and to ascertain the repair needed to remedy the item;

•Due to the fact that the hoverboard has cosmetic damage, even if the customer has had the board for 30 days or less, they will be charged for any repairs needed to be undertaken;

•The £50.00 assessment fee, will be deducted from the costs of any repairs undertaken.

•Once you have had your hoverboard for more than 30 days, and a fault develops with the same, we will automatically have to charge you a £50.00 assessment fee, even if the hoverboard has no cosmetic damage;

•The £50.00 assessment fee will be deducted from any subsequent repair costs

Please note that if the board is excessively and extensively damaged cosmetically, we will not assess the item as our technicians will not accept these boards. The same is true whether the customer has had their item for less than or more than 30 days.


Our boards come with 12 months manufacturer warranty to cover the supply and fitting of the internal battery only.

Accordingly, the only repairs that will ever be undertaken free of charge will be corrective works to the internal battery, and again this will only be undertaken free of charge as long as the customer’s battery is still under warranty.

Please note, as per above, ONLY the internal battery is covered under warranty; accordingly, no other component of the board including external hardware and internal hardware, mechanisms and software, are covered under any such warranty and will therefore be a charged repair costs if a repair is needed.

Due to the nature of the product we cannot be held responsible for misuse.

Board, charger or accessories must be free of any damage and/or seals must be intact or else warranty is void.

Courier Charges

Courier charges for returns are at the customers’ expense, unless the customer has had the board for 30 days or less.

Please note postage costs will only be reimbursed up to the value of £9.99 only.

Once items have been received and inspected, a refund will then only be processed if liability is determined in the favour of the customer. If after inspection it is determined that PukkaMate.co.uk is not at fault, goods will be returned to the customer at our expense. Please note, it can take up to 28 days for a return to be processed once we have received your consignment.

Wrong Or Damaged Item Received

NOTE: Items must be checked on arrival and any problems should be reported within 48 hours of signing for your delivery. You will not be able to have damaged items remedied there after. likewise, if you are keeping an item for longer than 30 days as a present, you will not be able to have any faulty item remedied by us if you do not report it within this time frame - unless it is a problem with the battery which is covered by warranty.

Please accept our apologies if you have received the wrong item or if it is damaged or faulty when you received the same. We understand how frustrating this can be and want to resolve this as quickly as possible for you. If you’ve received the wrong item, you must return the item in the same condition you received it in within 7 days to qualify for a refund or a replacement. For damaged or faulty items please contact us as soon as possible. You’ll need to explain where the fault or damage is located and we’ll then explain what to do next. Please contact us first before returning the item.

Do not attempt to fix a faulty or damaged item as this will void the warranty and we will unable to accept any returns.

Items Not Received

Please accept our apologies if you have not received your item. This happens very rarely but when it does we appreciate how frustrating it can be and will do our best to resolve this as quickly as possible. Before contacting us, please leave a reasonable amount of time to allow your delivery to arrive (14 days); our estimated delivery times are shown on our couriers’ tracking page. Delivery may be delayed by couriers due to busy periods such as Christmas or due to adverse weather conditions. To receive a refund or a replacement product you must contact us within 30 days after you received your dispatch confirmation email.

Promotional Offers

From time to time we may run promotional or special offers. These terms apply to any offers available on PukkaMate.co.uk or its related social sites such as Facebook or Twitter. We reserve the right to end or change offers at any time without any notice. These offers are also available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved.

Anything offered "free" is subject to stock availability at the time of purchase and you are not guaranteed to receive "free" add-ons. Please check stock availability in advance before submitting your purchase.

Safety Notice

Using a swegway hoverboard, like all sports, carries an inherent risk of injury, damage to property, or even death. You should always wear a helmet, pads and any other protective equipment to limit your risk. You should use the product within your abilities. Familiarise yourself with how to stop (slide), mount and dismount, and never board in traffic or other dangerous locations that may increase your risk.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PukkaMate.co.uk be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental or special consequential damages to property or life whatsoever, which arise out of or are connected with the use or misuse of its products.
